The Director of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for the administration of on-campus housing; including student and full-time staff supervision, training, and evaluation.
The Director of H&RL oversees community development; student conduct process; develops and implements new initiatives for Residence Life and Housing Facilities; and manages an annual budget of around $3.
5 million.
This positions collaborates with other Oregon Tech offices and departments to ensure the safety, security, comfort, and satisfaction of all on-campus residents.
The Director serves in an on-call role and as a first responder to student and/or facilities related needs within Housing and Residence Life.
Department Summary The Department of Housing and Residence Life serves 700
residential students on the Oregon Tech Klamath Falls campus and is one of the departments within the Division of Student Affairs.
The Director of Housing and Residence Life reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.
The Klamath Falls campus offers two housing facilities to allow students to stay on campus as they study, which comes with a host of perks.
In addition to convenience, staying on campus has been shown to improve academic success.
It allows students to fully immerse themselves in the campus culture, make lasting friendships with people of diverse backgrounds, and partake in countless activities--including annual traditions such as Tech Con, Spring Fling and the local favorite, the Halloween Haunted House.
