Summary:
The Marina Clerk provides first person contact to customers and the public.
Assist customers with completion of paperwork, answering questions, launching, fueling, and providing information and assistance with requests.
Provide support to the Marina Supervisor in the daily operation of the Marina as well as general maintenance and upkeep of the facilities to ensure that they are clean, safe and secure for all users.
This position is seasonal, full-time, working 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Greet each customer in a friendly, welcoming way Demonstrate product knowledge in assisting customers.
Answers phone and assists customers with questions or directs calls accordingly.
Answer LOW based questions using knowledge from training, merchandising bulletins, and other Company approved information.
Sell merchandise and interact with customers according to LOW standards.
Pump gas for customers into their vehicles or boats and charging them accordingly Receive, check, and shelve merchandise Keep store clean and uncluttered picking up any items misplaced and putting them where they go Performs regular janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and stocking bathroom, sweeping and dusting the store, and hosing the rugs nightly Assists dock hands in times of heavy workload Complete customer transactions using POS register system.
Perform register store open/close functions and cashier's bank report envelopes.
Basic math skills to count, add, and subtract, strong interpersonal skills and ethical behavior to manage the company's assets, excellent customer service skills.
Operates LOW vehicles in a safe and conscientious manner.
Maintains and uses LOW tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
Maintains competency and accuracy in the position responsibilities.
Marina employees will be scheduled accordingly, there will be little or no overtime for the marina.
Pulls expired or out of date items from the shelves.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands:
Medium to heavy physical demand capabilities required, stand for up to 8 hours, carry and lift to 40 pounds frequently, climb and balance on ladders, bend at the waist, kneel and squat on the ground, reach above the shoulder frequently, pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
