MEMBERSHIP IN THE NATIONAL GUARD IS REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Oregon National Guard as a condition of employment. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Unit of military assignment is any supporting unit of 173 FW. Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position with the Oregon National Guard will cause termination from any Guard Recruitment Bonus or Guard paid student loan. Must maintain membership in the ORANG as a condition of employment. You must be assigned to a compatible unit and military duty position. INTRODUCTORY:
This position is located in the Avionics Intermediate Shop (AIS), Component Repair Branch, of an F-15 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Its purpose is to inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify software controlled automated and manually controlled test stations, peripherals, support equipment and associated subsystems. The stations are used to repair and maintain all F-15 avionics line-replaceable units (LRUs).
MAJOR DUTIES:
On a day-to-day basis, analyzes performance, tests, inspects, troubleshoots, identifies and isolates malfunctions, disassembles, modifies or repairs and reassembles the test stations and their associated peripherals. Considers the complex interrelated variables arising from a mix of computer hardware and software, stimulus and measurement systems, and special purpose test subsystems. Analyzes malfunctions using schematics, logic and wiring diagrams, programming tables, computer program flow charts, software user guides, computer program listings and factory drawings. Modifies and updates avionics support equipment and support software according to applicable technical publications. Analyzes program data and determines if the criteria is sufficient to provide adequate testing and troubleshooting. Connects associated testing equipment to interface the test station system to the aircraft system to facilitate maintenance/repair of line replaceable units (LRUs) from the avionics systems including radar, fire control, instrument, flight control, inertial navigation, malfunction analysis and recording equipment systems. Determines whether failures are caused by the unit under test (UUT), the test station, or the test program. Works with engineers and technicians in the development and/or modification of software, interfaces, extender equipment or additional items of test equipment and in validation of technical data concerning the repair, maintenance, and test of the test station and units under test. Initiates technical data changes. Provides hands-on training instructions to lower grade personnel concerned with repair of computer controlled automatic test equipment, manually controlled test equipment, line replaceable units and aircraft integrated systems. Also provides on-the-job instruction to newly assigned personnel, regardless of grade level. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Inspections (ORI), Inspector General (IG) inspections, and Unit Effectiveness Inspections and mobility and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.

METHOD OF EVALUATING QUALIFICATIONS:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Work involved in rebuilding, overhauling, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning and maintaining integrated electronic systems. Analyzes and evaluates complete system operation using a variety of general and specific test equipment, self-test and self-calibration computer programs and/or technical data containing schematic diagrams, signal flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, test procedures, program information and mathematical formulas. Accomplishes checks, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment and analyzing of electronic integrated systems. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data and maintenance procedures. Experience or training which demonstrates the applicants knowledge of electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integrated systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies. Thorough knowledge of principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory. Ability to interpret and trace schematics, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicants applying at the WG-13 level must have _18 months_ of general and specialized experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. Experience in using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
