SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position has responsibility for day to day operation of a 0-5 year old child pre-school program. Duties include but are not limited to; program planning, program development, program management, program evaluation, budget development, financial management and ongoing community relations, and supervision of leadership team members. The position participates in intercomponent coordination throughout the program. Both Head Start and Early Head Start are part of the program.
Qualifications:
o Possess Bachelor's degree in administration, early childhood education or human services
field (advanced degree preferred). Accreditation must be accepted by the state of Oregon.
o Possess ability to interpret local, State and Federal regulations, policies and procedures as they pertain to the duties of the job.
o Willing and able to travel, including overnight as necessary.
o Possess a valid driver's license or have reliable alternate means of transportation.
o Have a minimum of three years of experience in program management and five years of budget development.
o Must enroll in Child Care Division Criminal Background Registry at www.workinginoregon.org. Non-Oregon residents will require fingerprinting and FBI check in addition to enrollment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
