Lead Medical Support Assistant (CBOC)
This position is located in Primary Care Patient Service Line at the Klamath Falls Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Klamath Falls, Oregon, which is a part of the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (SORCC) in White City, Oregon.
The Lead Medical Support Assistant performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information.
Will interface with personal computer applications as well as numerous Veterans Affairs applications and provide leadership to advance and entry level Medical Support Assistants.
Work collaboratively in the interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model patient aligned care team.
Coordinates with the patient care team to review the clinic utilization by using various reports, ensures that the clinic setup is closely monitored to effectively support the needs of the clinic and make any necessary adjustments.
Monitors and makes work assignments, provides input on performance, resolves daily workplace issues and maintains efficient workflow.
Ensuring coverage of all areas of responsibility, conducting ongoing reviews to ensure quality of work.

Salary Determination (Grade & Step) will be based on experience & education and recommended by a board of peers (Medical Support Assistants) for individuals under new appointments.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
